Historic. Unmatchable. Eternal. Welcome to The Cazoo Derby. This is the birthplace of thoroughbred racing. 241 years, a different champion crowned every time. From the thrill of the hill to the iconic pageantry and sideshows sharing a stage. It’s racing’s most spectacular carnival. Two unmissable days. Friday 3 – Saturday 4 June.

This year, The Cazoo Derby is poised to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Making this historic event even more special.

Friday 3 June, known as Ladies Day, is a day like no other. It’s best dressed, summer chic, a Derby staple. Dress to impress and soak up spectacular racing, including The Cazoo Oaks, one of Britain’s five classic races. And come Saturday 4 June, it’s Derby Day. Expect nail-biting drama and history in the making. Welcome to the greatest show on turf.

But it’s more than racing. The Derby loves to celebrate the people behind the horses. Take Josh Crane, Adayar’s work-rider. After thousands of hours in the saddle, he graciously turned down his VIP ticket to the 2021 Derby, to watch it on TV with his Gran, his biggest fan. She brought him luck as Adam Kirby rode Adayar home. All playing their part in the greatest Flat race on earth.

No race on the planet is quite like The Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse. The Derby is for everyone, from racing royalty to racing rookie. We open our gates, arms and hearts to the world. In a way, everyone rides The Derby, being part of it, getting carried away and taking that feel good carnival spirit back home.
